Season's 52 on restaurant row in Dr. Phillips is by far my favorite. The food is always very fresh, the service is great, and the portions are just big enough to fill you up without feeling overstuffed. The flatbread appetizers are awesome and the mini desserts are perfectly sized so you can try two or three different ones and not have to decide between the ones you want. Assuming you are both over 21- they have a very extensive wine list- by the bottle or the glass. The servers are very knowledgable with the wine. Try to Mascato- yummy!
Make sure to make a reservation though- they fill up real fast. Enjoy!

Charley's is on 441. Not really upscale. (If you want a good steak, go to Flemmings in Winter Park. Good steak, upscale dining.)

If he likes Steak, I really feel like Charley's ( I think it's on International Drive) makes the most flavorful steaks around. We eat there for special occasions, and it's great.
