I have 2 dogs.1 loves apple cores and other fruit the other won't touch fruit but loves baked potato skins!
They key is to only give your dog small amounts of plant based food-1 apple core a day for example.Too much can give them diarrhoea.

I have three dogs and they are all completely different when it comes to fruit my cocker spaniel loves it, really loves it but then this dog will eat anything even chiles! My alsation sniffs her nose up at it, sucks the fruit a little then promptly spits it out before rolling it a round with her nose. My other cocker spaniel "The Bloke" it depends on his mood, sometimes he does, sometimes he doesn't. Nothing, i meaning nothing in moderation is going to do your dog any harm so let your dog decide.

Yes, my collie loves fruit and veg of most types - but don't feed raisins, grapes or onions as they can cause kidney damage. Lots of dogs who havn't had fruit before may not know what to do - so if they take it and spit it out, represent it a few time so that they understand that it's ok to eat it, but don't force them. As with people, all things are good in moderation - don't overfeed fruit.

some dog food have fruit in them and my dog like just a bit of fruit. he does not like bananas. but he will go to the garden in the summer time and l see him eat a grape or two tomatoes and apples, he never eat the whole apple but that may be because he may have ate a seed and it might have made him sick. dogs will learn on their own some times what is good for them and what is not.

We tried fruit with our dog - he likes apples, but that's about it. His thing is vegetables - he loves them!

We give him baby carrots & pieces of green pepper. He gets the occasional cherry tomato, but mostly carrots and peppers. In fact, baby carrots & peppers have replaced biscuits almost entirely in his diet (we do still give him the occasional treat). I keep a ziploc bag of green peppers cut into bite sized pieces for him in the fridge.

Our vet recommended it to us - he said no onions, no garlic, no grapes, but other than that, if it's good for us, it's good for the dog and nowhere near as fattening as Milk Bones, so we don't have to feel guilty for "over-treating" our dog!

Yes, I have a Pom and the olny 'people' food she gets is fruit (and popcorn).
She loves red grapes (she plays with these for a few minutes and finally eats it).
I also give her small amounts of fresh pineapple (not very often though)
