There is a particular Neosporin that has a pain relief ingredient- it's called Neosporin Pain Relief, and it should help with the pain, while healing at the same time. Best wishes.

There are herbs that alleviate some of the damage done by the chemo. Perhaps you should look into what alternative medicine has to offer for your situation, which is--a great deal. I have relevant information outside the scope of this question. Click on my icon and email me if you're interested, and I'll send you the complete answer. You'll be glad you did. Somebody here keeps getting it unjustly taken off as 'spam and advertisement' because the same information applies to everyone with cancer. And no, I'm not selling anything or getting a dime from anyone. Just want to help. Best of luck.

been there done that got the t-shirt. i think it was caused by the nose hairs falling out. hence many of the irritates that may have gotten trapped in the hairs, are now irritating the lining of the nose. not to mention that the cells in the nose are rapid growth cells, they are getting hit by the chemo. try the ocean spray. but it maybe be something you'll just have to get used to. the nausea may come in to be because of the increase mucus production that happens because the body is trying to get rid of the irritants.
but above all, TELL YOUR DR!!! he needs to know this stuff.

There is a good nasal spray called "Ocean" that you might try. It helps with dry nose anyway but I would call the on-call oncology nurse first or consult with the Dr. before trying anything like this. Or they might have a sample of something in their office for you to try. I finished 4 rounds of chemo end of the year & I continue to have a runny nose but nothing like what you are experiencing. God Bless!

I have a coworker who was having the same problem, then it turned in to severe nose bleeds and they had to change treatment plan. Maybe that would best to talk to your doctor about before it gets to that point. The thing about chemo is that is helps shrink the cancer but sometimes causes other areas to go bad. I hope your doctor can find the best treatment for you.

I have gone thru chemo in the past, but have not had this problem. There are different types of chemo. I had adriamycin/cytoxan (AC)...As for the nausea, try to stay ahead of it by taking the anti-nausea pills BEFORE you get nausea, if you wait until you get nauseous, you can't even keep the pill down..Keep immodium handy if you get diarrhea (ask doctor if it is ok to take first)...
Ask your pharmacist what he recommends...good luck!! (maybe vitamin E oil??)

for the nauseas..... I suggest you try medicinal cannabis. Cannabis will allow you to eat and take those horrible nauseas away.
