Yeah, Deadbeat parents are a problem and some of them are real Pros at beating the system. I have a cousin who did the same thing to his kids. His second wife had two children (one boy and one girl). when he divorced her she gave him the boy to raise.

I hope your sitting down explain to your son how daddy is busy, and hasn't forgotten him, and so on. I know it may not be the truth, but the poor boy needs some kind of comfort knowing his dad does love him, he just has problems right now. It wouldn't hurt for him to even write his dad, that might strike a nerve in his father. I just hate hearing these awful stories. If you get in touch with Child Enforcement, they will go after you ex, and do a good job of it. I think they have a fee of $25 a month, but you will get your money if he makes any. Call your local Dept. Of Social Health and Welfare, I am sure they will direct you in the right direction. Try to be strong for your son, he needs you more than ever right now!

So does he not have a legal job???? You need to contact family court. As long as his SS# is in the system he should be able to pay child support right out of his check since he is not willing to do it voluntarily. Do you know where he lives? I'm confused I know where I live if a man is working and there is a child support order on him, it comes right out of his check, if he stops working then it builds up, his driving license get taking away, taxes etc.....
Try typing in family court and the city where you live in the yahoo search engine you should come up with something. Or try calling 2-1-1 it's a free number with alot of resources.

Take him to court and request that they garnish his checks, that way you will receive it on time. He has shown that he is irresponsible with paying and the judge will see that and put a garnish on his check. He can not fight it either because the court papers go right to his boss. The boss has to do it or the company gets in trouble. Trust me I know. I receive child support but also pay child support.

well the honor system doesnt work, thats been proven. the state and federal government are tired of parents not paying for their kids, so they passed stronger laws for child support.
If you have a court order for child support, push for it to be enforced. call the case worker and ask for enforcement hearing. if you dont have one, get one.
if you go on welfare, they will sick him worse then the IRS.
1) dont tell you child when something is comeing in the mail or when its due. dont make excuses for the father, just try to take the childs mind off it by doing something with him.
2) a lot of fathers tell their kids they are sending something and dont. just tell him you dont know, its all you can do.
3) some fathers do hate us, because they have to deal with child support and obey the law. it makes them mad. try not to talk to the father unless you have to.
4) gift cards are not child support, nor are they considered support in any way by the courts.
5) if you want child support, you gonna have to do some work by writing to your reps. in the letter, give your contact info, your case number, the arrears and the problem. ask them what they can do about it.
write your state's Attorney General
write your state's Governor
write your caseworker (no phone calls, they dont work)
write the Regional Federal Child Support Office (link is below)

The crocodiles Tears for Mom. That is what i got from my kids too, until (Ready), Turn the entire case over to your district attorney and let them collect it for you. If he is not paying they take it right out of his check and if he quites to avoid paying they will take away his drivers license. If that will not get you the money they will place him in jail. My ex got to the lost his Drivers license and he has been on time with the money and paid the arrears too. You need to get mad enough to put his deadbeat
as-ss in jail.
Got get your son his money mom.

Get a lawyer and have the father's wages garnished. Easy as that. And when your child comes and says that his Dad promised yet one more thing, sit him down and explain to him that he shouldn't get his hopes up. Maybe that'll make it easier on him.
