I used to be a hardcore atheist and evolutionist just like some of the people on this board. I used to go online and tell Christians how stupid they were for believing what they did. My ex-boyfriend was a cradle Catholic so I started attending his church just to be nice, but I was still an atheist. Then one day, at his niece's baptism, I was sitting in the pew, looking at all these people praying around me. They looked pretty sincere. I began to think they had or knew something that I didn't. I decided to try a prayer anyway. I said, "God, if you're real, tell me why all these people seem to have the Spirit and I don't? How can I get the Holy Spirit?" Then I felt relieved and sat back down, and the priest began his homily, which was about "How to get the Holy Spirit"! I was totally floored. I may have been an atheist, but I didn't believe in those kinds of coincidences. I believed God was trying to get my attention. Right then I wept, and asked God to forgive me and come into my heart and make me a new person. He did, and I've been saved ever since. I did still have one problem after that, and it was that I still believed in evolution! I just thought the evidence was too overwhelming to deny. I told this to my pastor, and he gave me a CD-ROM that was a 15-hour seminar series on Creation Science. I took it home and watched it on my computer, and I was just blown away. I learned hundreds of facts that support a young Earth and Creation, that deny evolution. These were things that I was never taught in the atheistic public school system. Ever since then, I've been fired up to go teach Creation Science at a local community college, so I can reach other atheists like I used to be. My life has also improved greatly and I have been blessed, and I am much more at peace with myself and the future. God worked a miracle in me by making me do a complete 180. I went from being a pro-choice, evolutionist atheist to being a pro-life, young-Earth creationist Christian. Only God has the power to transform people's lives like this. No other religion on Earth has the ability to make such a claim.

at the age of two , I wandered away from a family party and walked 3 houses away; walked into a built in pool, six foot end; just remember scream scream as loud as you can; the house was a good distance from the pool; the elderly woman came out and got me out of the pool; told my mother if not for the ear piecing scream, I never heard a scream as ear piercing , I came running out of the house; she said normally, it is just kids in the neighbor playing and screaming and I don't pay attention but this scream was different; just so piercing ; if not for my scream , I wouldn't be typing this message. God is always there; this is just one instance in my life but I have many; I was riding my bike when I was 9 , something told me inside to get up on the sidewalk, although I always rode along the curb; I got on the sidewalk and a car came screeching around the curb and up and over the curb, if I had not gotten up on the sidewalk, I would have been hit by the car. The situations noted are small ; if he can create human life, planets that we still don't know about, these tasks are simple gifts from him; the possibilities are endless and well beyond our imagination, a drop in the bucket where God is concerned
P.S. God does not cause the evil things to happen; man does with assistance and guidance from the devil; we are all here with the freedom of choice to do good or evil; it is the gift that he gives all; you choose how you spend the gift; when enough people out cry to him for assistance , he is there; in his time not yours; he knows the plan , you do not; it is not place to question GOD, trust and faith only leads out of evil; if enough good people stand up and fight for what's right and human, evil would not win; you have the choice , good or bad. That is the gift that God gave you free will. Don't blame God , blame Man and the devil.

I have a friend who was instantly delivered from drinking when he called on the Lord to save him. He had been drinking up to a case of beer a day before that. A few weeks later, he was instantly delivered from a 4 pack a day cigarette habit through the ministry of prayer with the laying on of hands. He experienced no withdrawal symptoms, and has been free now for over 30 years.

I don't know that I have been saved, but I am believer. I won't know where I'll spend Eternity until God tells me. At that time, there will be no arguing...
There have been so many small miracles in my life, I don't know where to start. I guess the two that come to mind first is that God gave me the parents He did and blessed me with my birth in America.

I'm thinking if your god really wanted to help her she wouldn't have had it in the first place.
If you want to think your god is responsible for that, then how about the 14 people killed by a night tornado.
What about the Lady Lake Church of God that was destroyed by the same tornado?
Take the blinders off and recognize reality.

Lots of things. The main one probably leading me to him. Something happened between a friend of mine and me, before i was a christian, which made me not be friends with her. I moved on. I then became friends with a sorta believe but not really into it person, and because i became friends with her, we both helped each other in our faith, and now we are both really strong Christians. Just think, if i had never fallen out with my first friend, i wouldn't be a christian now. Also, i moved to where i am now about three years ago became Christian, and now i have to moveback to where i came from, where hardly anyone are christians. So, i think god sent me to where i am now to become a christian, then to go back and spread the word of God to all my old friends!

My friend was diagnosed with 4brain tumours, bowel and breast cancer, she aged 30yrs old with a 5yr old child and of the Roman Catholic faith found that she could not have treatment because it was too late, she died 5 weeks later.I don't think that any God could have had a hand in her survival/death, i feel that it was just bad timing.

For many years I was lost and was a non believer. I was involved with a racial group and was filled with hatred for every one that was not of my race. I was also involved with lots of drinking and ohter things that were of satan. I got tired of living at a point in my life. I decided that there was no where to turn. I decided to take the cowards way out. I tried to take my own life by running under the back of a simi rig. I was obviously un sucessful at this also. I had no control over my life. I was at the point in my life that my children and those who love me wanted nothing to do with me. I was miserable and so were the ones around me. After the wreck with the simi rig I was seriously injured. I was in a comma for a few days in I.C.U. When I came to I had my son and eldest daughter praying over me. At that point I realized that there had to be a God or savior somewhere. I started then with very little faith. That is all it took. I realize now that God has a purpose for me to be here. My faith has grown daily and I accept that Christ is my Lord and Savior. God has replaced my heart of hate with a heart of love. God has given me a reason to live. That reason is to do his will and to carry his word to others. Since I have given my life to Christ nothing bad has happened to me. I was looking at 25 years to life in prison before I gave my life to Christ. Through the power of prayer I am now free of all of that. This can be proven as I have documents. It is all by the Grace of God that I am here today and free of bondage, prison and hatred. I give thanks to God daily and when I wake daily I thank God for all my blessings. If i could count all of my blessings I would know the largest number in the world. To know God we have to be humble--- to know ourselves we have to be ashamed. Dont try to out do your brother--- try to out love him..God bless all......
