attended a worship service and you were either ignored or you ignored other people? I can assure you that there are many hurting people in every service. Many are going through unwanted divorces, having family problems, going through cancer and other medical problems. Just feeling in general unloved.

We are Jesus hands and feet. We are the body. We need to show love to people who come to worship Him. Just turn around and notice someone who is there alone or a new family attending. Welcome them. Let them know that they are loved and noticed.

I think we're all guilty of that! Jesus wants to reach out to people through us. We need to take a risk and not be so shy! It's a lot easier to pray to our Father in Heaven, "Thy Kingdom come..." but then forget His kingdom won't come if WE don't reach out.

And we as Christians wonder why people don't want to be anywhere near us. I cant attend church because of all the hurt inflicted on my family growing up in a christian church! And it just wasn't us, it was a lot of other people that where hurt emotionally as well. We expect to be treated like Christ would treat us in church and when it doesn't happen and people are mean it is horrible! If I hadn't seen the amazing things that God has done in my life and I had just man to go on I wouldn't be a christian at all.

Thank you for making people aware that this happens and that they should try to do their best!

And as for ignoring people I never do no matter where I am at, if I see someone that needs help I help them, I don't judge people, I think everyone has a right to their beliefs or way of life. My job is to be the best and kindest person I can be!

Thank you for the sermon, but I think you are off base. Caring for others and their many problems should be a daily habit, not a weekly obligation at services. Everyone is hurting in some way. Simply smiling at someone in a coffee shop or saying thank you, sincerely, to a waitress can affect someone's life positively. You don't have to be intrusive or pushy. Just make a connection.

Wow, I thought I was alone on that. I used to go to my church with a friend. When I went alone I felt like I had mud all over me and people were afraid to sit near me....then I started wondering if God was turning his back on me. I know that sounds silly but it was true. I dont care anymore, I just go to church to get fed spiritually. I love the music ministry and the sermon.....I usually sneak out during the alter call. I guess I may give off the appearance that "I dont want to be disturbed" I can see that. I would love to make more friends at church....it just never seems to happen. I really love what you wrote.

If I went to church as in if I started having faith, I generally wouldn't want to be talked to. I'm not very sociable to people I don't know and I just want to be left in peace.

That seems to be the best reason for most to go to church, so they can snub the other guy who isn't as close to the lord as they are, so therefore obviously inferior.
