Patience... a lot of patience and being a good example for your kids.
Kids should be told well right from wrong even when they are small, so they learn to value what´s important in life.
Sometimes parents commit the big mistake to accept any bad behaviour of their kids, because it´s easier...
Then with 15, 16 years they turn into teenagers and they won´t listen to anybody.
If the kids are already grown up, it´s difficult to make them change a bad attitude, as they never respected their parents authority before.
You would have to talk with them seriously about the consequences of their nasty behaviour and establish clear rules at home:
Missing classes? OK, you will stay at home all weekend, no pocket money and no TV...
You don´t bother work hard at school? OK, no computer, no visits, no more hanging out with friends till your attitude changes...
Hanging around with the wrong people? That´s difficult! I think parents should try to integrate their teenager children into groups of friends which are healthy.
If everything fails, well, then there is the last possibility: Send them away to a interned school (even abroad!!) or to some relatives far from home...
But best would be to care for a right and healthy education from the beginning to avoid such extremes.

OK I am going to over look the Tin thing and get to the answer. Teens today are smarter then we were. The world moves faster and information is at our fingertips. Phones are in our pocket and basically they have instant gratification. That is the problem with teenagers, instant everything, and not learning a work ethic to gain some of the things they would like. It is the age of ME.
The answer is, to be involved in their life. Know there friends, but try not to be one of their friends (They have friends you are the parent) listen more then you talk and guide with advice, do not become a dictator. Lay down the rules, but explain the consequences well. Follow-through on the consequences even if it makes life hard for you. Kids rebel against structure and that is what creates a happy uneventful teenage life. So you have to find the balance and that only comes from knowing who your teens are and what they are doing. Invest yourselves for the long hall.
Sincerely,

I have two boys that ages and you talk, make sure that they can open up to you. Yes they give you hell but in the long run they will be adults that are going to apologize to you for what they put you through. I deal with them as young adults, if they do something wrong than the get disciplined. Take car away, no you can't go out this weekend, no your girl-friend can not come over. You discipline within the age group they are in.

well that's right teenagers specially in the age of 15 to 18 are really sensitive and ambitious . actually they don't accept parents' ideas and advices. They want to be with their friends and do whatever they like , so you'd better deal with and don't try to be opposed .be their friend ,they will trust you but don't advise them they don't like it at all.

I'm assuming tin is your word for your kids.
You should lay down the law, and if they don't follow it, kick them out of the house.
