All depends on what was written down as what your problem was. I have seen people try and get out of service before, mostly in basic and come up with a medical problem that they made up just to get out of basic. RE 3 has many many different meanings. If you say you are gay, you get an RE 3, and you can not change that for you have admitted to it. So anyone on here that says yes you can does not have a clue for they do not know what the circumstances are or do I.

nicely have self belief it or no longer the reserves installation basically as much as energetic duty. to this point as shorter deployments reservists usually installation for the comparable quantity of time as energetic. particularly the only distinction is that your defense force pay isn't as much as energetic and in case you desperate to alter from reserves to energetic you will lose rank because of the fact time in provider isn't the comparable! that is greater good to earnings rank interior the Marine corpse than the army and that i've got seen maximum of Airmen swap to military because of the fact they hated it. in case you particularly need to stay at abode i might propose the army reserves, yet once you want to work out unique places i might propose military energetic element. I controlled to get sent to Hawaii for my first 3 years interior the army and have been given to spend my days in paradise! you may particularly get out and notice the worldwide this way and the pay is greater effectual than the reserves. I spent 4 years energetic duty military and spent my first 3 years in Hawaii and the final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days in Missouri. i will admit it kinda sucked no longer being abode yet you get a million month of PAID go away each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and an risk to work out places that could in no way be a risk in any different case! to this point as desirous to flow into the Marines strictly for the status i will admit that they do have that even though it does no longer mean that what they do is in anyway greater honorable! each branch has a objective, and one won't be able to do what they do without the others! shop in ind the Marines are greater stressful on their deployment circumstances and their rotations are generally longer than the army wether or no longer you enter the reserve element. do no longer have faith each little thing you're recruiter says he will stretch particular element to make it look greater alluring!

It's going to depend on your prospective AFSC, and what the AF Flight Doc who examines you, thinks. (Aerospace Med does all AF exams, regardless of whether you're flying or not.) Your civilian doctor, most likely, doesn't know AF regulations, and can't make that call (unless he/she is a reservist also).
First step is to talk with a recruiter, show them your both your Navy discharge, and your civilian doctor's eval. They will schedule you for an exam.

Well, you can always try. Each branch of the military has their own regulations so your medical conditional may be allowed in the AF.

Yes, you can go Air Force Reserves; however, you must ensure all of your paperwork is good.

you'll still have to go through regular Air Force Basic Military training...and if they find out about your condition they might not let you go through w/ it.
