What exactly is a bikini wax, what is taken off?!
and if i go to salon to get it done,
how to they do it?
do i lye down with my trousers down?
or what
please help

As much is taken off as you ask. A little or all of it. They usually have you take your pants and panties off and lie down on your back with a towel covering you for a little modesty.
Then they apply wax and rip the hairs out.
I got it done once but it wasn't worth it. They want you to let the hair grow for a month before you get waxed, and they didn't get all the hair, and I got ingrown hairs that were very painful.

Whoa, it sounds like Danielle went to a not-so-professional salon. They do take off as much as you want them to. I used to get everything taken off and it was worth it! You go every 3-4 weeks for a couple of months and after awhile it grows in so soft and sparse that you don't have to go as often. The biggest piece of advice I can give you is this: Ask each salon you check out if they do Sugaring. It's different than waxing, more gentle, and you get the same results. Rather than hot wax that can pull skin with it (UGH!), sugaring is a warm sugar solution that is sort of like putty. It can't burn you and leaves less redness. Make sure you don't get waxed, get sugared!!
