Actually that happened to my 4 year old about 4 weeks ago. He was fine when he went to bed and then he woke up around 11:30pm and he threw up several times. He had no other symptoms, no fever. I took him to the Dr and he had Strep...as in Strep Throat! Apparently it causes stomach upset in young children instead of the typical sore throat we are accustomed to. So I would just take him to the Dr to be on the safe side, you never know what's wrong until you get it checked out :)

Toddler Vomiting No Other Symptoms

My 16 month old will occasionally do this a couple hours after dinner. He'll get done with dinner and go play and then sometimes vomit. He just gets himself a little rowdy and I think it just upsets his tummy a bit. It doesn't seem to bother him and he has no other symptoms. I was worried myself at first, but until he is showing other symptoms or it's happening a lot more often, I'm not worrying about it. If it's REALLY worrying you, call his doctor or advice nurse. That's why they're there!

Yeah, my son has periodically thrown up without having any other symptoms of sickness. Usually afterwards he's really snuggly, and then the next morning he's back to himself. If it became a regular occurance I'd probably bring it up with his pediatrician. Try tracking any similarities in his diet that may correlate with his vomiting to isolate foods that may not sit well with him.

make sure that he isn't choking on mucus. My son kept doing this one night and we couldn't tell it was nasal drainage since he was so young. If there are no other symptoms then it could also be a food allergy. My son had chronic diahrea due to this and your son's body could just be trying another way to get rid of it. Monitor what he eats and listen to his chest. Examine the vomit for signs of what it may be. (gross, but helpful) If it keeps happening take him to the doctor.

When my oldest was 3 he did that. He threw up like a midnight, then at 7 and 11 am. He was running around playing, no fever. I took him to the doctor cause I was still worried. She told me it was just a little stomach bug. Told me to give him plenty of liquids and only feed him crackers and bananas for the first day. After that he's was alright.

My son still does it on occasion. He tells me that his stomach feels bubbly. A while later he will vomit. I tell him that he reminds me of our cat. If something doesn't agree with him, he just gets rid of it.(LOL)

I don't think that there is anything to worry about, but I would run it past the prediatrician, just in case.
