Being color blind will hinder anyone attempting to join any of the Armed Forces today. In the past the issue was limited only to pilots, but, with todays advances in our weaponary and equipment, people who suffer from color blindness are extremely limited in what they can and can not do. You will definitely not be allowed to join the infantry or MPs, because of the required use of NVGs (Night Vision Goggles). You can not be in the medical field because different drugs and medications are color coded and a mistake can cost lives. Truck drivers, tank drivers and any other type of vehicle drivers can also not be color blind. You'll also be barred from being an engineer, mechanic, electrical tech, computer tech and many more job fields.
You're basically going to be limited to support and administration fields.

You can still get into any branch of the service, including the Marines, if you're color-blind. The only problem is there are certain jobs you won't be eligible for, like anything having to do with electronics or being on a flight crew. Best bet is to talk to a recruiter and ask them for a list of jobs you won't be eligible for given your condition.

nicely as for the different branches in straightforward terms taking the scraps left in the back of from the Marines. the factors are not so diverse. all of them artwork off of DoD funds. different than the CG, And the Marines' funds comes from the army, so they have even much less money. So the factors are quite comparable. The AF is obviously greater choosy than say, the army. yet military and Marines have comparable standards. As for Marine existence, you seem to have the desire to do it. yet from what i've got heard, that's not like on the television labeled classified ads, i'm particularly particular they have crappy residing situations(as they have a smaller funds) And if i'm no longer flawed, the Marines have a 4 year energetic settlement, so think of carefully till now signing that settlement. and you will't connect at 17 without their permission, only you recognize if there's a shot at convincing the two one in each and every of them(except one is long gone from the photograph) to assist you in. which you're able to as nicely wait till at last 18, then communicate with a recruiter. in actuality, communicate with a recruiter good now, and enable him understand your concern. yet bear in ideas that a recruiter is a salesperson, only like the television labeled classified ads. in case you want to be a Marine, i do no longer advise you compromise for the army. settle for no longer something below what you want. do no longer sign an open settlement the two, in case you do, anticipate to settle for a crappy interest. you will possibly no longer get to be infantry, yet i'm particular you will make an excellent Marine. end your severe college degree, and stable success along with your destiny militia profession.

If you want to push paper fine but ammo/wires/ switches and buttons are color coded. this will be a great hindrance to you in the armed forces. Ask the local recruiter and see what he says the rules on this sort of thing are constantly changing.

Yes, for a certain MOS it can. For instance, someone that is color blind, cannot be a pilot...in any branch of service. It just depends upon the career-field.
