What is the point anyway?

Since when has religion made any sense? That is the whole point of having to accept it on blind faith, beyond the bounds of sensible reason. Most religions teach that those outside the faith are inferior and unacceptable, so killing them is justified and ofter preferred. Most wars on the earth now are religious, so the killing keeps going in the name of God, and will until we learn to stop believing without thinking.

Instead of worrying about the religious, I would like to know why the anti-religious have killed so many people.

Adolf Hitler (facist) - 60,000,000
Mao (communist) - 20,000,000
Stalin (communist) - 20,000,000 (Before WWII)
Kim Il Sung (communist) - 3,600,000
Pol Pot (communist) - 3,000,000 (1/3 of Cambodia)
Sadaam (socialist and secularist) - 2,000,000
Ceausescu (communist) - 10,000

These are the biggies. I did not count all the despots that weren't specifically religious, but killed to gain power or territory.

The idea that most of the killing in this world is done by the religious against others who do not believe the same IS SIMPLY WRONG! As a matter of fact, when the restraints of God are removed, then killing begins in earnest.

You could ask the very same question about atheists who kill religious people for their(atheistic peoples)lack of belief in God or gods also.

Some people like to enforce their own views upon others.

Because they just want an excuse to do it. They don't want to feel guilty for what they do so they try to convince themselves that what they do is what God wants them to do. I think they kill in the name of God so that later on they can blame God for every bad thing that happens.

Can you be more specific which religion. The Answer is Islam, because there is no free will, all other beleiver are their enemy including Christians/Jews/Catholics that are beleive in the same GOD, GOD of Abraham. But Muslim kill each other also so now it is kind of confusing because they all beleive in the same GOD.
In Islam there is no forgiveness, no Love, no peace. All is about violent, full of hate, discrimination.
In Christians/Jews/Catholics we beleive that we need to forgive, love our enemy. Love, peace, forgiveness are totally different way with Full of Violent, Full of hate, Full of Discrimination and full of Sex.

because the heart of man is wicked and sinful, religion is what man creates. the thing is that there is no teaching in the bible that says to kill the innocent or to rape or to condone slavery or burn witches. many people have used the name of religion when in fact in the bible the scriptures do not teach or condone this way. this stuff comes from evil men who are false examples of the truth and the following of christ jesus, we need a savior friend and that savior is jesus christ.
