There is no Yes or No answer to that question. Most men prefer that women shave it all off. In that case, pubic hair serves no practical purpose. The answer becomes NO. But, most women prefer some pubic hair on a man because they say it causes a man to look more manly. The answer then becomes YES. I can honestly tell you that pubic hair serves no practical purpose for a woman because it contains germs and bacteria if it isn't kept clean all of the time, and that can cause problems for a woman. Many women also say they have more sexual pleasure without pubic hair. There is no hair on the penis. That's the main reason why men don't shave off all of their pubic hair. The other reason is because they don't want to look like women.

It helps keep the pubic area clean from debris, it absorbs sweat. Every hair on our body has a purpose. Just like eyebrows help to catch sweat before it runs in to our eyes.

Think of animal mating practices the pheromones. This is the same principle....thank goodness we have moved beyond this and have online dating now.
