I was in a long distance relationship for about 1-2 years and I did not think about being unfaithful at all.

We have now been dating for four years (as of March '07), and we got engaged Aug '06.

I wouldn't. But that's me. In most case it depends on the people in the relationship and how serious they are about each other. How did the relationship start? Was this a met on-line thing? Have you actually been together in person and if so, for how long? Why is the relationship long distance? How long is it going to be long distance? There are many factors to consider here.

If you make the commitment to a relationship (long distance or someone who live with you) cheating is not an option. The whole reason for being in a relationsip and loving someone (notice the "one" in someone) is to want no one else. If you feel the need to fulfill your needs locally --you should consider downgrading your relationship to a "non-exclusive level" --you know the ol' speech "i think we should see other people".
Good luck to you.

No, be at least faithful to the person if your in a relationship. If you want the other person then break up with the long distant person and go for the local person. Don't hurt the long distant person just cause you found somebody closer thats not fair to that person at all. you should be honest and everything to this person and let them know whats going on. Bc what every you do and don't tell the person far away will bit you in the a$$ in the long run. Cause whatever goes around comes around and you don't want to hurt this person if your with them. Trust me if you do it you'll feel guilty til you tell this person or break up with this person. If you want the local person end your long distant relationship and be a great person by telling them the truth. Don't hurt them just for your benefit.

There has to be a real commitment on the part of both parties to make long distance relationships work. There are usually a lot of locals trying to get your attention.

I would question the relationship I was in before believing the grass is greener. long distance isnt on the list of successful relationship actions.

I would suggest releasing the other person before taking a risk. if you have the feelings that you want to have someone else, you need to let your current partner have that option too, so kill the relationship and let them go.

we all get sad, but time pushed heart ache away eventually.

closer romance is better. so if you are not going to get any closer to the long distance lover, stop kidding yourselves.

Relationship is the key word here, you are in one, remember? cheat? do you want to stay in that long distance relationship? why would you want to cheat? ask yourself that question first. I think you are not ready for a local relationship much less a long distance one if you are thinking about cheating.

Would you cheat if the relationship was local? If you will cheat you will cheat, distance does not matter.

hell no, there are dogs out there!!! and i am not one of them! im faithful when i am in a relationship! that's what seperates the good ones from the bad ones! not only that but you might feel guilty & in return you might begin to think that your significant other is cheating as well, when in doubt thats not the case...i don't know i think you should think about what's really at stake! babies are made that way, hey accidents happen. hypothetically speaking, what if you get a girl pregant & she hella likes you, what if the girl wanted to keep you & she's like im having the baby!
then what are you gunna do? LOL think twice before you die man!!! lol

ABSOLUTELY NOT...if you want to be with someone else, then don't get into or be in a relationship...unless for some odd reason you both want to play the field AND see each other (but someone ALWAYS gets hurt...trust me)...
If you truly love someone, you would never even THINK of cheating...break-up and then play the field...I would rather someone break-up with me than cheat on me....
