Yeah, I'm a Jew. But Hitler wasn't an Atheist, so in that way he wasn't as STUPID.

To the people who say religious people have killed more than atheist, of course if you group 22 different groups together, they will out number one group. To be fair you would have to separate out the 22 groups into individual groups. Only 16% of the world population contains the top three murders of all time, don't any of you find that strange?

We are talking about the three greatest murders in history.

Vladimir Ilyich Lenin- Russian Socialist Federated Soviet Republic-U.S.S.R -According to Time Magazine "it is perhaps, impossible to calculate just how many tens of millions of murders "flowed" from Leninism".

Pol Pot-blamed for the slaughter of 2 million Cambodians about 1/5 of it's population

Mao Zedong sometimes spelled Mao Tse-Tung-of China killed at least 20 million people out right and 20 million more with the famine that was caused by his policies.

As for the crusades anyone who has studied then instead of parroting, what some other atheist has said knows that the crusades were done for a mixture of religious, economic, and political reasons.
It wasn't just about religion it was done to stop the take over of areas that already belonged to them, the mistreatment of Jews and Christians that were already in Israel. Innocent people were getting killed by Muslims by the score and the Pope wanted to put a stop to it. What do you atheist have against protecting innocent people from getting murdered?
Not all of the Christians were innocent of unprovoked murder of course, but every group has bad eggs, but anyone who murders innocent people is not a follower of Christ, and anyone who isn't a follower of Christ isn't a real Christian.
Quit listening to parrots, and do some of your own studies.

Actually Hitler and the Nazi's were utterly cynical about religion. They repressed the Catholic Centre Party, imprisoned catholics and Lutherans but established a national German Church as front for the Party. They also included elements who were essentially New Age in outlook or who looked to the ancient Germanic Gods such as Thor and Woden. Although they repressed the Free Thinking movement along with most other intellectuals, in many ways they were secular atheists in their core attitudes. Undermining the traditional (Judeao-Christian) values of the German people in favour of totalitarian National Socialist ones.

Incidentally Stalin trained for the GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH at a Seminary in Tbilisi, Georgia. He never graduated having converted to Marxism while a student.

Weren't Baruch Goldstein and David Berkowitz (NY's Son of Sam serial killer) great Jews?

Aren't Paul Hill and Eric Robert Rudolph great Christians? What about Hitler's "Positive Christianity"? How about Rasputin? Ted Haggard? Benny Hinn? Jim and Tammy Faye Baker?

While we're at it, let's examine the Christian group called the KKK. The Klan has purpotrated a body of terrorism and murder in the US that infinitley excedes that of Al-Qaeda.

Stalin was a Catholic but had a disagreement with them. His disagreement is not with what most people would think... killing people. Read a book titled: "The Godfathers" by Alberto Rivera, if I remember the name of the writer correctly. The book covers more than just Stalin. You can read this book online at the following website:

Let's see...how many Popes could be listed as traitors or murderers? Since you're a Jew, have you read the countless stories of murder commanded by God in the books that the Old Testament and the Torah have in common?
Please, anyone with half a brain knows that there are some, regardless of their religious affiliation, that will use any excuse they can to kill as many as they can. (You also forgot to mention the Inquisition and the European witch hunts)
Actually, according to your religion, God created everything and is omniscient...that would include Satan and any evil that comes around, so, ultimately, God is responsible for ALL murders.

Hitler was bought up catholic but later tended towards christianity. So if you're going to spend your afternoon acting like a nutcase on yahoo answers, at least be a well-informed one.

None of those people were bad because they were atheists. They just happened to be also atheists. Read a book.
