Just be honest with her. If she's a true friend she'll want to drive so that you don't put yourself at risk.

I don't drink and I never mind driving for my friends who ask if I'll drive. I do mind friends who assume that I'll be a DD just because I don't drink or order drinks at dinner and then announce that because they're drunk now, I can drive them home. If you're honest and say, "Hey would you mind picking me up so I can have a glass of wine with dinner?" I'm sure she'll be happy to swing by. At least I would.

Sure you can! It's totally accepted and a very good idea, even if you only want to have one or two. Offer to pay for gas if it's not right around the block since, given the situation she doesn't drink at all, you can't take turns.

If she is your best friend, why do you think she will refuse to be the designated driver, have you've done this before and possibly made a asp! out of yourself in her presents, embarrassing her in front of others. Drinking your cares away never works, when you sober up there right there waiting for you.

just ask, be honest, tell her you know she doesnt drink, but you would like to have a few, so could she pick you up, just to be on the safe side. if she's your friend she'll understand. maybe you can continue the night out at your house once you get home

A true friend would want to see you safe. Just ask. The worst she can say is no.
BTW. Does the shift i work on your keyboard? For some reason most of the times when you are referring to yourself it comes out i instead of I.

chill out and just tell her. the reason you want her to drive makes sense, it's not selfish. it would be selfish of you to drive, then have a few drinks, and expect her to get in the car with you.

IF SHE IS A GOOD FRIEND SHE WON'T MIND DRIVING I'M SURE. ASK HER IF SHE MIND IF YOU HAVE A FEW DRINKS AND IF SHE WOULD DRIVE? OFFER TO PAY FOR THE GAS FOR HER VEHICLE AND LET HER KNOW IF IT DOES BOTHER HER YOU WON'T DRINK. I AM SURE SHE WON'T MIND AND YOU WILL FEEL BETTER KNOWING YOU GAVE HER THE OPTION...

Just tell her straight up. I'm sure she'd rather drive so that you at least make it home safe.

Ask her, offer to take her to dinner afterwards. if you have to or want, offer some gasmoney. (If she's driving, the club or bar has to or should give her free coffee/soda/etc,.)
