Yes, it is prime example of people living their lives like they are the only one the exsists.

Yes, it is very rude, and can be dangerous as well.
I wish that technology would be imbedded in cars and/or the roadways to PREVENT a turn or a lane change without first engaging the directional signal. Imagine how many few accidents there would be! Sigh.

It is actually against the law in Illinois to change lanes or make a turn without signalling. In fact, there are requirements for how long your signal must be on when making a turn.

It's more rude and inconsiderate. If people don't use their signals, an accident can occur. Think about it, you're in the right lane and the guy is in the middle lane, you start to speed up because since he doesn't have his signal on you don't think he's going into your lane and then "BAM" an accident because he actually did decide to go into your lane without letting you know.

No, I'd call it against the law. Here in Phoenix, less than a third of all motorists even bother with the turn signal anymore. It's so stupid that in a place where there is, on average, about two accidents for every 24 hour period that no one will bother with a simple safety measure.

I think it's MORE rude when I signal a lane change and the person speeds up to block.
That's why I don't signal.

hey, you gotta understand. not ALL of the time people do it intendedly. maybe, they're just thinking about something else or talking to someone while driving & forgot to turn on their signals. but other than that, it's stupid not to turn on signals. a second of laziness could cause a lifetime trauma. what if it's the highway or some sort. I'm sure they weren't trying to be rude. they just have never known of how accidents happen

Using your turn signals is like providing information to the enemy! (I Heard that line from a comedian in Boston once. He was talking about Boston being so proud of having the worst driver.)
YES, if not turn signals would be optional on cars.

It is very rude and is done more by thoughtless teenagers than most others.
Plus "I don't need a turn signal I know where I am going" drivers, the same ones who do not use lights at dawn and dusk!

yes its rude not to use turn signals. Its also rude to have your music so loud I can hear it 8 cars away. there seems to be a breakdown in driving courtesy in the US. people don't use their signals, they drive slow in the left lane, they speed up when you try to pass them and they are generally rude.

You have no idea how many close calls I get into because of those morons. However I have a PA system on my truck as part of my CB radio, so I just pick up the mic, and give them a piece of my mind, as well as bringing their stupidity to the light of other adjascent drivers.
