I'm a single mom and I am 26, so I guess I feel pretty qualified in answering this. I have a couple options...the first would be to either babysit or hire a sitter for her so she can get some much needed alone time...you could get her a certificate for a spa, pedicure or a shopping spree (maybe a trip into the bigger city and out of the middle of nowhere. A great birthday is spent with great company too...maybe the two of you can go get a couple drinks and take in a chick flick. There are a lot of opportunities. My favorite is asking people what they have always wanted to do and never have...and go from there. Could be a gift certificate to skydive, cooking classes a session with a golf pro....just base it on what she likes. And being your best friend, she will love and treasure anything coming from you...even if it's a cheesy pic from the 80's of the two of you...blown up in a picture frame....friends forever, in good hair days and bad :) good luck!!

Well, she has 2 children, giving her a book would be out of the questions and a bathset etc would be too bcos she would enevr get the time. Dot get her something to impersonal, like a gift card
you are her best friend and you want her to feel special
I think the best thing for you to give is a box, inside this box give her a range of little goodies. You dont have to go so expensive, but just spoil, make her feel happy and appreciated.
A lipstick, a scent, a braclet, etc

When I was 25 and had a few little kids at home all day (and yes I to live in a hick town) for my birthday I would have loved for my friends to cook me dinner than watch my kids while I took a long bath (you could get her stuff from bath and body) and a nap. Your time is more precious than the money you would spend on something, and your friend will remember it for alot longer than perfume or clothes would last.

attempt a giftcard for someplace that could provide dinner..i don't understand the position she lives, yet some states have places beside pizza that provide. i don't understand if you may do present certificate for NetFlix that mails videos. Does she save on-line? A giftcard for Barnes and Noble, or a save she likes should be solid. Does she decide on to envision? deliver her some books you extremely loved or imagine she will be ready to love. You reported she is inventive, is there a craft that she likes to do you ought to deliver her some resources for? desire those concepts help!

The best present for anyone is something you know they'd love, but can't bring themselves to buy with their own money.
Last year, I bought one of my best friends a gift certificate to a local spa to get a 60-minute massage. As a 35-y.o. mother of three girls (10, 1.5 and a newborn), she doesn't have enough extra money to do something nice like that for herself, so the gift made it possible for her to pamper herself a bit. She loved it!
That exact idea might not be suitable for someone who lives in the sticks, but adapt the concept of indulgence to her specific circumstances.
