My sister is in the same situation. She will only have one sip of the wine she suggests, not enough to harm the fetus. The alcohol she consumes is so minor, the liver immediately clears it out of your body. If for some reason she was required to sample more than one, spitting would be the option she chooses. Most doctors now believe wine in small amounts is ok. But even moderate use can cause fetal alcohol syndrome, so have it with caution!

That's a personal choice. Don't go tasting every wine there is out there to taste, but a few sips shouldn't hurt you or your baby. I had 2 glasses of wine while I was pregnant (on separate occasions), and was fine, as was my baby.

yes, wine is good for you. IF you breast feed after the birth, I wouldn't.
