Yes, my grandmother has always gone to the Salvation army church, my mom grew up in it and I have been several times. The members of the church really do alot for the community too.

It was originally founded as a mission, that is as a church making outreaches to the poor and homeless. Somewhere along the line, however, the original mission was forgotten and the Army abandoned its pure Christian mission and got into the retail business.

Yes, and they have been around a long time. Did you know that they are usually there alongside the Red Cross and others to help natural disaster victims and missions also?

Where have you been? Every one knows "Salvation" huh?...duh.
They are the best org. out ther bar none.The only strange thing is they don't believe in water baptism but that's no big deal.
