Bible believers do indeed understand this. But most others refuse to. As can be seen with the answers above. Humans truly are a stiff-necked bunch, who will only believe what they want to believe. Pretending that a mistranslation means the original is wrong is just plain stupid. And pretending that archaeologists haven't found what they HAVE found is equally ridiculous.

I would certainly like to see sources for that statement. Arabic and Latin translations do not agree since there are no ancient manuscripts written in Arabic to begin with. Some were written in Aramaic, some in Koine Greek, and some in Coptic. The OT was written on Hebrew. Biblical scholars estimate that there are somewhere in between 100,000 and 300,000 errors in the New Testament alone.

Say what?? Where did you get that little "fact" at? The reality is that there exist over 5000 manuscripts, there are more variations between these manuscripts than there are words in the whole Bible.
If the Bible is translation perfect, then why do we need over 100 english VERSIONS alone?

The biggest problem comes when a word is used that is gender neutral in one language, but in translating it to English, you must choose a gender. While the translation might be "correct", people do not understand that when the English translation of the Bible says "Man" it means human beings or though it says "he" it might mean he or she.
These are the "translation errors".

Some are similar, not word for word. If I write a story and someone copies it closely would that make it true.

i like this, everyone claims the bible is 100% accurate, then u show them something that goes against its teachings and its instantly "mistranslated"
what gets me i show they dont realize that mistranslated means theres an error, means its not 100% accurate.
i dont think they know wha they are claiming when they say that.
