our bodies are the physical remains of supernova explosions. As a star goes terminal and explodes into supernova, the elements fuse into new elements higher in complexity than Hydrogen and Helium. only supernova can cause this, as a standard star doesnt have the energy to fuse higher than Helium.
the food we eat is de-constructed by the body and its atoms are used in the body. the carrot may be a few months old, but the atomic matter is much older, and recycled. our precious bodies have probably been in other peoples in our past, or animals, and they died, rotted, fed the earth, grass grew... the circle of life returned the atomic blend and keeps it flowing through us all. new atoms are not created as the carrot grows, but it absorbs it from nutrients. at the core of nutrients are atoms. blessed vibrations.
so thats our bodies, the light of stars. nice.
as for us, what is 'us'? is it your mind, the unseen quanta of the brains chemical soup?
well this is the god part, it is called LIFE. and all the physical reality share the physical beginnings, and the living entities share the god vibration of LIFE.
just living is god enough. the body will return to the universe, and the mind may or may not linger on in a vibration of life. we cannot know till we die. in some ways the dead have the advantage in that they know,
perhaps...

We were made in the spiritual image of God but Adam blew it for us,We all have Adam in us but we need to be born again to get God back in us.Jesus said in essence, your born once into Adan by the bursting of water of the womb but you must be born of the spirit a second time .
When you accept Jesus as Lord the Holy Spirit enters in you and you are born again. It's that simple.

You are ripe to see a fantastic movie titled "What The Bleep Do We Know?" It is not one-sided, and presents many sides of religion, science and spirituality and really makes you THINK.
But to answer your question, it depends on your philosophy. Buddhists would say that you ARE God, and atheists would proclaim that they reject the notion of God and substitute their own set of guidelines. Either way, I still do not believe in any supreme deity that governs the universe.

Jesus said that the Holy Spirit is within us. And since the Holy Spirit is part of the tribunal, then yes, God is in us.
Jesus also said that he knew us before we were born, which means our souls must have existed before our bodies, meaning they were in waiting for a host. Well, thats what I interpret anyways.

Our current body is temporal, but our soul, that part of God in us, is eternal. The Bible says that in the last resurrection we will all be given new bodies, and that includes the unsaved. The unsaved will enter hell spirit and body and suffer torment in body and soul. The saved will enter heaven body and soul and rejoice in the presence of God. the bodies that we will be given will be permanent.

I believe we are droplets in an ocean. To an outside observer there are not droplets, only ocean. But to the "little me" that we call ourselves - we believe the limits we create for ourselves.
A little bit of God in us...no, we are God who dreams we are little bits.
