Most are not preventable, but freckled skin from sun exposure can be reduced. If you have alot of moles or you feel they are disfiguring, they are easily removed using several different methods by a dermatologist.

Not much you can do about it. The dermatologist says they are in our genetic makeup and can just randomly appear. The only thing you can do is have them removed or wait 50 years and they may disappear.
