I have a 6 months old spitz. If I bring home a rabbit will any of them go through any problem?

Could at first but ours did fine. Dogs and bunny used to bounce around the yard with my kid

A Spitz is not a hunting breed and even if it was if done correctly both animals can exist in a healthy environment. If you are the "Pack leader" here is what you need to do. make sure the Spitz is calm b-4 you introduce the Rabbit. If your dog is hyper when introducing each other this will not work. Lay your dog down on its side (calm state) put the Rabbit next to it's nose if he does anything other then sniff ie. raise his head, open his mouth, etc. a st earn Nooooo and let him calm down again. Try again, and again till finally your Spitz just lays there. Continue this practice till you are absolutely sure your Spitz considers the Rabbit part of your "pack". I have done this w/ Birds, and Cats with my dogs and have never had a "casualty"

I dont think so but maybe you should talk to your vet about this and see what they say . although the prey drive might be too high in this dog breed . See what the vet says though . good luck .
