Back Ground: I have Spine and Nerve (not the "Oh I'm so Nervous" kind but the " I'm haveing trouble feeling things and grasping things" kind) problems from accidents.

What happened: I woke up with about 4 of my ribs hurting in 4 places. I am use to wakeing up to pain from my bones and nerves. I had done alot and been up so long, I went to bed without noticeing there was a pile of things under my right back.

Bounceing around...: I was sick with things in my lungs badly for over 31 days, I had been sick before that for a couple weeks, I was still sick a few days after, I had a Funeral I want to. I finally got into Physical Theropy my Doctor prescribed from yet another accident months ago. Physical Theropist said have Doctor check-X-Ray ribs. Doctor's office said they didn't have X-Ray Machine, told me to go to Urgent Care. Urgent Care had me come back the next day as X-Ray tech wasn't in. Doc at Urgent said go to Hosp for immediate X-Ray results. [... to be cont.]

[cont.'d] Because Urgent Care X-Rays can take up to 5 days to get results and he was worried I may have a blood clot or something,.. but ER/Hospital X-Rays develope same day.

Finally at the ER/Hosp: Doctor comes in boasting person a couple doors down has Pencritis, some other thing, some other thing, and vomiting. He touches me and adjust preassure so that EVERYWHERE he touches hurts (Urgent Care Doctor and Physical Theropist were better and more thorough). He announces it's my Gall Bladder and to immediately have me hooked up with IV. Has me have Ultra Sound & X-Ray,.. those don't show anything wrong with my Gall Bladder or bones (Techs were not allowed to talk to me and I'm use to hearing more details). Whines it may be a blood clot like he is disappointed. Has me loaded up with 8-10 meds in basically five minutes but the drinks had to take longer. Does radiation scan to check for blood clots, finds nothing,.. still wants it to be Gall Bladder. [...to be cont.]

[Cont.] Wants another type of Radiation test but it upset because the techs for it are gone so I have to wait a couple things. He still wants it to be my Gall Bladder (BTW, he has convinced a couple of the Nurses they need their's removed). Doesn't want to tell me details. Isn't clear about some things. I nag him into details about the test. Sounds like they want me naked and covered in stuff. He prescribes me perkcaset (I can't spell) and gives prescription for test.

Even with enough drugs my mom was screaming at me they were going to think I was a drug addict (they put everything but the liquids I had to drink in me at the exact same time so I couldn't pay attention to the list of 6 or 7 things) I am thinking this doesn't sound right and predicting things like they were takeing so long to get results they weren't going to find anything.

I did research and found it's dangerous and a big no-no to have certain test done the same day or within days later. Common sense kicked in and yes more then one radiation type at a time or metals plus radiations even Microwaves teach young children is bad,.. so this should be a flag right?

It also says not to be takeing any of certain meds like a perkcaset would be for days until or on the day of the test.

I read more and people get this test if the other test I had DO SHOW there are or there are masses that can be caused by eatting just before walking into the test room,.. but I didn't get anything from him like that,.. to see how bad the block is.. some places do not operate until your Gall Bladder is only working 11%, people think 35% is common, mine is not showing any problems.

It looks like most doctors wait 1-3 months between test, even when they know there is a bad problem because it's not safe to do them close together.

[Out of room again >.<]

So I am thinking this is going to either bake or erupt organs. That this is uncalled for,..

I believe I likely just tore something (though I don't remember my activities well enough) or posibly bruised something.

I am not takeing nor do I want to take the Perkcaset (I'm use to being in all kinds of pain, it's just annoying when I breath and not like the times something was wrong with my lungs). So I won't be takeing them.

I am NOT going to do the test. The test last 2-6 hours, they put radiation in you and have the thing check you then they give you something to make you get sick to see how your Gall Bladder reacts when your whole digestive system is emptied suddenly and all at once.

What would you do? What do you think of me doing this? What suggestions do you have? Can I get in trouble for not makeing an appointment and not haveing the test done?

This all sounds so confusing. Your ribs hurt after you slept on some junk and this is where it all started? The percocet is a powerful pain reliever. If you feel like you would prefer not to take the "gallbladder" test that is your right. There are patients rights and you can get a copy at the hospital you've been going to. You mention "accidents" and being sick. Your body takes a while to heal. Did the first doctor you went to give you orders to have a chest x-ray done to see if there was any damage to your ribs. You don't mention insurance or money or if you're located in a rural community where it's difficult to get into a city where you wouldn't have to deal with no x-ray machines or x-ray techs. My best advise to you would be to get to the nearest city and see someone who might help you understand and receive the x-rays and tests that you require for a proper diagnosis.

The test you're talking about is called a HIDA scan and what it really does is reproduce the pain if your gallbladder is what's causing the problem. It's an expensive test btw! I have pretty good insurance and my part of the bill was about 200 bucks. I had my gallbladder out about a year ago and wouldn't do it again if I could go back! I would just eat less fatty food and try not to set if off personally. I've had a lot of trouble with my stomach since they took it out.

I would go else where too. Get another opinion at another hospital.
I would even try to think of all that has happen to u and type and print it out and take that to the Dr.

If u cant go to another hospital then maybe a letter mentioning your care at the hospital your at and how it has not satisfied your health problem. Give details. Or maybe mention it to a head director.

You need to get the help for your problem and the right Dr is the right place. Good luck in finding that Dr.

I am really sorry to hear about that but i think that you should go to a different hospital. Someone doctor you have never met and tell that doctor your problems and let him/her do what ever fix you. Don't put up with being bullsh*ted by a doctor because he thinks he has superiority or something, and keeps telling you its something that it isn't. So i would just suggest a new hospital, heck maybe even write the hospital if you feel strongly about the way you was treated.
That's all i have good luck!
