I'm not absolutely certain, but I think we use plutonium in our bombs. I'm not absolutely certain about the treaty either, but it would be logical that we did sign it, since we already had all the bombs we needed.

Yes they did sign the Non-Proliferation Treaty and NO they no long enrich uranium with the purposes of creating more wmds. They are in fact dismantling them.

The US has enough nuclear weapons to erase the world several times over and yet protests other countries developing nuclear arsenals. What's with this? The US should be leading the way for world nuclear disarmament. Instead they are still adhering to their manifest destiny thinking they can rule the world.

yes, as well as creates plutonium, but we have only recently restarted creating nukes, though only update our arsenal as the cold war era weapons age, so even though the U.S. has signed the nuclear non-poliferation treaty, we are allowed to get rid of old and replace with new, as well as help friendly countries in their civilian nuclear energy programs, but not to help them in developing nuclear weapons
