You might turn your question around and ask if we exist as humans, or are merely God's psychological projection?
To a flea a Dog is god, providing all warmth and food and a place to live. The flea loves his dog as God, but the dog does not relish or appreciate the flea.
Belief in God is not necessary to make God exist, any more then a flea needs to believe in the existence of a dog. It simply is...

There is no evidence of any kind that "god" exists as a real personal being (or spirit, or energy, or anything else). There is considerable evidence that the concept of god is nothing more than a contrivance of the human mind. Therefore the only reasonable conclusion one can reach is that "god" does not exist, except in the human mind.
It's really that simple.
