Candida is the name for a group of yeasts (a type of fungus) that commonly infect the skin. Candida albicans, and other strains of Candida are yeast that normally inhabits our digestive system: the mouth, throat, intestines and genitourinary tract. Traditionally, Diflucan and Nystatin are the drug of choice to treat candida. If you feel you have a candida infection, please see your doctor to get a proper diagnosis so treatment can begin.
