Not sure about where you might find a park, but I can offer a little advice on visiting a dog park.

Be sure that your dog is capable of socializing with other dogs in an appropriate manner (i.e. not being aggressive). Always keep an eye on your dog and on the other dogs in the park. If you have someone come in with a dog that is showing aggression, leave the park so as to avoid issues. Be sure your dog is being polite to other people in the park (i.e. your dog doesn't jump up on people). Clean up after your dog... some parks provide bags, some expect you to bring your own.

Be prepared for others visiting the park with their dogs to not be following the things I've mentioned. There are people who allow their dogs to be aggressive with others and have not done any kind of training with their dogs, so they can really be a pain to have in the park for those of us who do take the time to ensure our dogs behave properly. I leave when these kind of people and their dogs arrive.

Man you guys in Missouri can't bring your dogs to regular parks?
I thought that was only in NY. NY sucks when it comes to dogs. I can't bring my dog any where.

Hey KateM. Where do you bring your dog. I bet your the owner that crosses the road when you see another dog being walked. No better yet, i bet your the owner that allows your dog to get mauled by a stray. While you stand there screaming for help. If people like you learned to take care of business right then there. These aggressive dogs you talking about would not exist. My poodle and I over her 18yr live span have taken out 8 Rotts, 20 Mutts, 22 Labs. That's how you deal with owners that let their dogs attack other dogs. Oh let me explain it. While my dog is fighting I kick the other dog in the ribs until he stops breathing and falls over.

Kansas city quite has quite a number of neighborhoods adjacent to downtown with city properties. high quality Hill's contained in the very middle of Downtown and it has extremely some city homes. So do Beacon Hill, and Columbus Park.

I would ask you to please reconsider taking your dog to a dog park . 1. Most dog owners that go there are inconsiderate louts that let their agressive dogs off the lead. 2. They get tied up chit chatting with other people and not paying attention to their dog .3. If your dog happens to get in a fight with their dog they usually take off without finding out weather your dog is alright or not and without you getting their name . 4. The fleas and ticks that other dogs might carry . 5. Alot of the dogs there are not vaccinated . These are just a few of the things that you run into at a dog park . It was enough for me not to ever want to go there again.good luck and i hope you will reconsider your decision to visit a dog park .
