Well, yesterday I woke up and one of my eyes was rather sore above it. Then today I woke up and the other one is sore and they're both VERY bloodshot. Also, they're releasing ALOT more nasty white eye gunk than normal. Like ALOT, lol. Also if this helps I've had a cold/sinus infection/virus (They dont really know what it is) So I dont know if that has something to do with it...But I've just taken out my contacts and put some eye drops in. HELP PLEASE!

It could be viral, (no antibiotics) or it could be bacterial (antibiotics needed). No way to tell unless you go see a MD. Usually if it's colored drainage (green or yellow) you need antibiotics. but, you only have 2 eyes, they are worth taking care of. So, call your MD and see what they say. I'd leave your contacts out until you know. Also, some contact fluid was recalled. Does this concern you?

Eye gunk, or non clear discharge from your eye, is the deciding factor - yes you probably have an eye infection, call your physician for an appointment.
Use a clean washcloth with warm water to remove the gunk and keep your hands clean and away from things that others will touch.

Go see your doctor or eye doctor. ASAP! Also don't touch them and touch anything else without washing your hands. Pink Eye is VERY, VERY contagious. After you go to the doctor and get meds., make sure that you wash anything that your face has touched since you came down with it. Bed sheets, pillowcase, wash cloth and towel. Spray your couch, car headrest with something that is antibacterial/antimicrobial. That will kill any type of bacteria that is on anything that you've touched and will keep from you or someone that you've come in contact with from getting it.

Wear your glasses and go see your eye doctor. Sounds like you have a bacterial infection and need to be started on an antibiotic. throw your contacts away if they are soft contacts
