First off you ask that question as if it is a fact- when it is not. I am a christian and I used to listen to all kinds of secular music- I do not think it is wrong to listen to secular music, BUT I actually DESIRE to listen to praise and worship now over my old favorites- because God gives me that desire. When I hear a song I used to love- that is secular I am happy to hear it- but when I say secular, I do not mean songs with horrible lyrics- just music that is not labeled christian. My favorite band of old is "The Cure" and "U2" and I like "Cold Play" --good bands-- But I prefer to listen to my worship cds because they fill my mind with the joy of the Lord and His peace surrounds me- and I desire to praise Him because I love Him!
p.s real music is not what you think it is.

Many of them do (I'd say a majority). I'm Christian, and my top five cd's (obviously this changes frequently) are: Rage Against the Machine (self-titled alblum), Los Lobos (Just Another Band out of East L.A.), N.E.R.D. (In Search Of...), Jurassic 5 (Power in Numbers) and Hot Hot Heat (anything really). I listen to most music, other then country. You can never go wrong with Dylan or Johnny Cash either. So, I think you are buying into a non-existent stereotype. Anyone should be able to appreciate good music, even Christians.

I'm a Christian and I listen to "real" music. In fact, I like lots of different types of music. You are mistaken in your belief that Christians only listen to Christian music.

I listen to all types of music. I watch MTV all of the time. As long as it doesn't dissrespect my religion or has too many bad words I am ok with it.

Geeze Bobby...I have something like four weeks worth of rock and roll and maybe five Christian songs in all. I think maybe thou generalizes too much.
