It would not surprised me in the least. I have often said that even Hitler could be in heaven. It says nothing about Hitler, and all about the great love of God.

I would be surprised, and this is why. When you deny the Atonement of God and have to suffer on your own, it takes a lot longer to repent of sins. If you are going to attribute at least 6 million murders to his "cause," so to speak, it is going to take a long time to repent of that. I don't think 60 years is enough to make restitution for what he did, even if it was based on limited knowledge. From a Mormon point of view, unless he really, really had no idea that what he did was terrible, the highest part of heaven he could hope for is the telestial (the third level, lowest). The Atonement of Jesus Christ was not meant to cover pre-meditated murder or genocide, although everyone who was killed will be recipients of the Resurrection. Hitler's actions have probably not been completely forgiven by the Jewish people and descendants of others who were victims, and until that happens, I would like to bet that he cannot progress any higher. Again, it takes a great amount of time to work out restitution if you fight against the Gospel of Jesus Christ and persist in murderous, prideful ways, and at least a third of Hitler's life was dedicated to that. This is what I believe Jesus Christ said about it:
"For behold, I, God, have suffered these things for all, that they might not suffer if they would repent: But if they would not repent they must suffer even as I: Which suffering caused myself, even God, the greatest of all, to tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and spirit-and would that I might not drink the bitter cup, and shrink-Nevertheless, glory be to the Father, and I partook and finished my preparations unto the children of men." (Doctrine & Covenants 19:16-19)

I don't think Hitler is in heaven. For one thing, he murdered millions of people and for another thing, he was a homosexual. But if I did see him there, I would be scared to be in heaven, that's for sure.

Well, I wouldn't be going to Heaven. ;-)

But assuming I did and I met Hitler there, I would not be at all surprised. Hitler was a devout Christian.

I would be so in awe of the beauty and glory of the lord god....and god promises that there is no sadness and hatred in heaven...so we wouldn't even miss your presence....but just because he claimed to be in a religion does not mean god judged his heart as a believer and gave him a seat in heaven.....
