My family was in a tornado back in 1987 and it wiped away everything we owned in a matter of seconds. Instead of blameing God we put our faith and trust in Him and He carried us through the disaster with peace and comfort. When we look back on it, we can see where it was the greatest material blessing we ever received. We received a new home, vehicles, clothes, etc..., plus it pulled our family, church & community together just like it did during Katrina. So, we don't understand why God allows these things to happen, (He is God, we don't have any right to ask him anyway) He just wants our faith in Him and He will take care of us.

Lord, I pray for healing and peace for this dear soul. Lots of bad things happen to good people, and often they blame You. Whatever their pain, let them know Your comfort, Your healing, Your peace. I ask this in Your sacred name, amen.
Holy Mother, pray for us.

He probably just regretted making the people he killed - just like with the flood.
