The best way to ensure that you get the hair color you want is to buy a permanent hair lightening kit and do it yourself very carefully at home, or go to a good hair salon and have a colorist do it. I wouldn't recommend making bleach yourself and putting it on your hair, as you may have adverse side effects like a burnt scalp and/or hair falling out in large clumps. Feria has a good selection of dyes you can choose from, but I'd do some research on different dyes and read the precautions on any box of dye you're considering buying. If you find that you're still in doubt despite this, go to a trusted hair stylist. Also, if you do dye your hair, whether it be by you or a stylist, make sure you get a good conditioner for color-treated hair to keep your color looking fresher longer and help repair some of the damage the color may have caused your hair.

YOU DON"T!!!!!!!! That would be terrible! Lemon juice is acidic so it will be drying to your hair. peroxide could cause burns to your skin and NO DOUBT, regular household bleach will not only burn your skin and scalp, but it will burn your hair as well.
Call around to some salons...some of them will do foil highlights for $3.00-$5.00 per packet. (each foil).
DO NOT USE A HOMEMADE BLEACH! Not only will you be taking a trip to the salon when your scalp heals, you'll be taking a trip to the Emergancy room!!!
