I don't know about albas oil, but you can use eucalyptus oil. Just put a few drops in with a bucket of water. Use this as the water to pour on for steam. I know eucalyptus is good for helping to clear out your sinuses(the steam from the sauna also does wonders). I've never used albas oil though... Sorry.

Be wary of what you use in a public sauna. I have a friend who is allergic to eucalyptus oil, and was not aware that it had been used in the sauna she went into. It made her very ill. the sauna owners would not take responsibilty for the abuse of the sauna by others. There was a notice asking people not to use oils in there.

If it is your private sauna, you could use oils as you might in aromatherapy. But a note of caution from recent research: If you are a man, be careful as it has been found that certain plant oils can cause men to grow breasts if absorbed. Lavender and tea tree oils were mentioned in particular.

My thoughts are that it would make your eyes sting?? It would help you breath easier though?
