Most are when you have a cough or runny nose with it. The droplets are spread this way.

Yep, they pretty much all are, unless you have immunity to the particular virus or bacteria that's causing the infection. Unfortunately, since there are so many different kinds of viruses or other organisms that can cause infection, basically any upper respiratory infection will be contagious.

Yes, especially strep infections (strep a isnt very bad... but it is very very contagious). When you cough you are aerosolizing millions of tiny droplets of water that may be filled with bacteria or viruses.
