There is no power?!!!
The tools may have changed, but the purpose have not. think about it.

In the Quran it states that it is the duty of every Muslim to convert as many people to Islam as possible, and that will insure them to enter Heaven/Janna with every convert.

Both Muslims and Christians both claim to be growing in leaps and bounds. I guess that just makes sense, the last thing you would want to hear as a Muslim, is "hey guys we are getting our butts kicked by those pesky Buddhists, lets ratchet up the faith now"
Truth is both Muslim and Christian population is growing steadily, coincidentally, so is the earth's population. More people are being born than die. Therefore the opportunity for growth is boundless. Its actually a great business model.
Don't get too excited about many people believing the same way you do, there are millions of Hindu's who believe in Ganesh, an elephant headed God, millions of people who believe that Jesus is Lord, millions of people who believe that there is no God. All of them are increasing in population.

1- Do you have any statistics for people who embrace Islam?
2- Why most people who embrace Islam are not Arabic speaking? does translation play a role in convincing people (e.g., by twisting wrods from their real meaning)?

well depends on your definition of power.. terror is a type of power and a lot of people will 'convert' just in case there is a take over. People always do that during wars they will change sides at the drop of a hat who ever is winning they are on 'their' side.. remember France in World War 2?

Exactly as Magistra said - they have many children plus you can't leave the religion (unless you want to fear for your life). So the two together make for a growing Islamic population.

Islam has always spread, I think, because of the Message it gives. When I am among my brothers and sisters, I have always felt welcome and at home. The part about Islam that I like best is that the Muslims I know do NOT try to convert others, but respect their particular path.
