Whatever is most comfortable to you. I put mine on the left.

Proper etiquette puts the name tag on the right side. When greeting someone, the eyes are naturally drawn to the name tag because people shake using the right hand. Otherwise, you have to turn your head to read the tag and that creates an awkward moment.

"While you shook hands, did you notice the other person's name tag? While it may feel easier or look better in the mirror to place it on the left, the proper placement of the name tag is high on the right shoulder. There is a simple reason for this. When shaking hands, your eye follows the line of your arm to the other person's right side. By placing the tag on the right, it's easy to read the name while shaking hands. If the tag is on the left, you are forced to scan across the body to read the tag, an awkward and potentially insulting gesture. Why don't you make sure your name tag is on the right and let's try shaking hands again. See how much easier it becomes to read the person's name?"

I don't think there is a particular side (such as with the Canadian Poppy which is pinned on the side closest to the heart)...however, when someone looks at you, they almost instinctively go to your left shoulder area first and most right handed people will have a tendency to pin something on their left shoulder first.

Left handers will do the opposite. I say pin it on the side you feel most comfortable pinning to unless you see several people with their name tags on a specific side. You can then go with the majority if you wish.

The main thing at such events is that they can see your name...which side they look on to do so, is really irrelevant.

Left side is generally the way to go. And here's why: Most people are right handed, thus they will shake each other's right hands. When you shake with a right hand, you open the body posture up to the left side. Thus, with the nametag on the left side, the person you are greeting will be able to see your nametag more clearly.

Pin the tag on your left so that when people look at you it is on the right.

Left, generally.
I actually did read a Yahoo! Answers question about this, where it said that etiquette dictates left, unless you are in the military. Something like that. But I don't think people will get offended or anything if it's on the right.

Name tag goes on your left side. You shake hands with your right hand.

PUT IT RIGHT OVER YOUR HEART! That is WHY (nobody else knew why in the answer section) you put it on the LEFT SIDE!

Although, if you want to be remembered more easily (put it on the right), higher up is better. Anything that you do slightly different than others will be recalled in observation by others.

He did pass away you the money, meaning he needed you to spend it, yet once you sense undesirable approximately it, supply it away to a charity. :) That way, you at the instant are not paying for a actual merchandise which you have the prospect of seeing, and you're additionally not technically spending it.

You should ask for a second name tag, then pin one directly above each nipple.
