I guess by power you dint mean military force

India has everything to become a power full nation, but the dirty politics pushes India down.

M.P is also a government post, so a person should be a well qualified one to stand in an election, he should have obtained at least a Masters degree in some subject from a well recognised college or Univ.

And there should be no family ruling in politics, if a person is CM / PM none else from his family should hold an elected post in any of the government bodies and his son / daughter / wife should not become the next CM / PM or hold any such senior position after the persons death.

Most important thing, don't bring cast system into education, seats should be purely based on merit. NO RESERVATIONS. Let the government provide quality education in the schools run by them. And let them also compete with others as they grow.

And try to enforce laws properly and remove loopholes in the law to stop corruption.(or at least reduce it)

Next would be in the hands of each and every Indian. From childhood each child should be taught about the nation and they should be encouraged to love their nation

What does power mean? To be a powerful nation means that you want to have influence over your neighbors as in military power. Abandon that idea. Think about making India a great nation with a prosperous, well educated, healthy populace who can succeed and reach their dreams. In that way India will become a powerful nation but not through force or fear, through admiration and relationships with other nations through their people and their instiutions. Look at the Middle East, these are wealthy nations who ONLY seek power. Power over their own citizens by oppression and even murder, and power over their neighbors. The vast wealth of the oil fields remains in the hands of a few no matter if they are royals, dictators or violent clerics. They will never be great nations and if the world's technology surpasses the need for oil those nations will retire into obscurity...perhaps where they belong. No, lets make India a great nation and forget about aggressive thinking and power.

Hi,
Each citizen should be responsible. If honestly everyone pays the income tax dues, the necessity of Income Tax Department vanishes. You will be amazed the savings the country will have by scraping Income Tax dept. Responsibility should be inculcated from childhood. Compulsory education till school level + the teachers at the elementary school should be a selection category like IFS/IAS/IPS so that the child student can be motivated properly. Nation is nothing but people, hence if children are brought up properly by able hands- Nation has to become powerful. Catch then young is the slogan.

First thing that needs to be done is PREVENT MIGRATION OF INDIAN CITIZENS. This is not done, instead of creating the desired amenities here we go off in search of these elsewhere and what happens to INDIA? All educated and intellectual people march off then we are left with only the illiterate and the poor. how then can we become powerful. Unification of all the intellectuals, all the educated people will help india reach glory within no time. TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE that's what TEAM stands for and that's what will make India powerful.

usually we think that one nation who have a big military force and huge arms , he is powerful nation. But power does not mean only fighting power . There is also a power , that is education power without which nothing can be done.If a soldier have no education then how he will operate his arms .

We know there is lot of people in India who have no education
The percentage of educated person in India is very poor .
So to make India a prosperous and powerful nation we should make the people of our nation educated. Because I think that the word power is not completed without education. Education and power is inter-related matter.

Well I would like to have a different take on the qustion. Firstly, what do we mean by powerful? Is it asserting authority over other nations and policing the world. Hopefully, the answer is No.

Powerful would mean where the people have a strong character to sustain themselves as a progressive nation. Now, the very next question would be how do we define progress?

Progress to me is better governance for the welfare and protection of citizens, exploration of the several branches of knowledge, a welfare economy to support the population.

Exploration of the different branches of knowledge would automatically lead towards the realisation of latent faculties of the mind and thus would enlighten the entire populace.

This would in turn lead to better and stable governance.

Thus in order to be a powerful nation we just need to ponder on education not only for money but enlightenment. This would lead to peace and prosperity and thus our culture would continue to spread beyond the physical boundaries and would automatically unite the world on one principle.

The power a nation acquires come from the well being of the people of the country. It hinges on the economic status of the nation and the distribution of the wealth of the nation. Internally, the citizens must be happy, have love for the country, feel proud about the nation, and be prepared to lay down their lives for the sake of the nation. People and and their well being brings all the power to the nation. Secondly, the attitude of the neighbouring nations matters a lot. :Your neighbours should have faith in your fair mindedness, because of your past attitudes and not be afraid of your might.

We being the citizens of India, its our duty to protect our nation. And i think this can be done only if all of us are united to do something good to our country.some of the reasons to make India a powerful country are that we need to have honourable relations with other nations and no violence should be there.peace and security should be maintained.Firstly there must be no corruption.
It is only corruption which is the main cause for our country being not developed or not being powerful.we need be independent for ourselves and always maintain peaceful relations with nations.
These days politics is the only thing that is effecting us.People have become greedy for money and also their selfish attitude can cause harm to our country. The only thing we can do in this matter is to shun the people who begin this job so that others do not follow their path
we students are the future citizens of our country who would like to bring about this changes.
