Well I've been with a very good friend online who I met with from myspace. She said on myspace that she was looking for a relationship (and friends of course). We've been talking a lot almost everyday for nearly a month and we laugh, talk a lot, tease each other and I want to be more than friends. I've given her the hint to be more than just friends but she wanted to be friends still. We been talking for about a month, what's taking her so long? She does have trust issues because she's been married before and her husband used to hit her a lot and had a lot of broken hearts. Well I've had a lot of broken hearts too but that doesn't stop me from hoping to be more than friends with someone. How do I become more than friends with her when she said she wanted to be friends first after a month? How long are we supposed to be friends before we become more? I'm getting a little tired of waiting.

You are very impatient. A month is really not that long of time. If you keep pressuring her to make a decision you may end up losing her as a friend also.
I don't know you or her but your user name on here is Elizabeth have you stopped to think that maybe she is not wanting to be in a female-to-female relationship. Believe me i'm not knocking people for being like that but it's not for everyone.
But if that is not the case then give her time to get over the last relationship that she was in of course she has a wall up and has little trust and even though she says on myspace that she is looking for a relationship it may not be right now that she is looking she may have put that for future reference.

a month is not that long.. maybe this girl is trying to get to know you first,, she doesn't wanna fall in love again and experience the same thing. I've been in the same situation.. she doesn't want to hurry things and fall in love again with the wrong person. getting out of a bad relationship is not that easy.. so the next time she will go into a relationship, she wants to be sure that she is picking the right person this time. If she experienced battery by a former husband then probably she's still suffering from a trauma/fear that it will happen again. So if you really love her then be patient, show her that you're not like the other guys, the key is to earn her trust.:)

Ask her out first... See the actual person. Then decide... Online is mostly like, attracted by the so called, ideal thinking.. See real person already, maybe you will understand why her husband likes to hit her..

the first rule in a good relationship or to entre a good relation is to talk ..talk with her and tell her how you feel that wil let her realise she have to go to the next level....

hints don't equal direct dialog... tell her what you want, and ask for a truthfull answer... be ready for any answer... accept said answer knowing you didn't hint and were upfront... good luck
