The Abrahamic traditions made humans ashamed of their nakedness. I don't know why. But pagan religions before them were not ashamed to be naked. Many Pagan and Wiccan practioners today still practice ritual skyclad. The human body is natural and nothing to be ashamed of. However, depending on where you live, nakedness is not necessarily a good thing. For example, I live in the Northeast, and clothing this time of year is not optional.

Ah but some people are not ashamed of their nakedness, such is why you have nudist beaches and colonies!
It's all a cultural thing. If you grow up in a culture that teaches you that to be nude is "sinful", you will be ashamed. If you grow up in a culture were nudity is the norm, you would accept it as such. Since our culture is dominated by Middle Eastern monotheistic religion who see nudity as evil, most people become ashamed of their nakedness.

It is a socially constructed value.
Just look at different societies around the world. What is considered to be nakedness varies greatly depending on the culture you study.

When Adam and Eve were evicted from Heaven.
And because nakesdness was okay in Heaven, where they weren't aware of Good and Evil.
And that is a part of God's punishment ( for having eaten the apple)

Adam and Eve were innocent but sinned and lost that. When one is truelly innocent on the human level, you are unaware of your nakedness.

In certain environments clothing was required to keep you warm. It became accepted.
When they went to other societies and saw the "savages" running around naked they figured that nudity was evil.
Probably some rubbish like that.

I think clothing came around, not as a result of modesty, but as a result of bits flapping around, and the need for them not to...

because of something called "fitrah". fitrah is mentioned in the Quran, it's something that has been taught inside us. for example, who taught the bird how to build his house, it's fitrah. who taught the child that his food inside his mother breasts? it's fitrah.
and every person has a fitrah inside of him that ur private parts should be covered. and everyone born with a fitrah that says your God is only one.
