Yes. No one religion is for everyone, and some people find that none of the existing established religions meet their needs, so they form their own. Unitarian Universalists even have programs dedicated to this. They're called "Building Your Own Theology."

Read Peter Shaffer's play _Equus_ (or rent the movie). In it a young man comes to worship Equus, the Horse God. It's a brilliant play.

Everyone creates to one extent or another his or her own religion (or philosophy of life, if you prefer) regardless how indoctrinated one might be into a certain dogma. MANY PEOPLE have done so. There are people who study withchcraft. There are those who study satan and demonic things. There are also Denominations who claim to follow Christ all over this world. Most of them are nothing like what Jesus' Apostles saw in the First Century Church that was built on the Blood of our Savior. HIS CHURCH follows the examples and commands of the New TEstament to the best of their ability without making changes to suit their own needs. Have a great day.
