They are all religions. Its a question of which religion comes to the truest form of reflecting the path to God. Which road leads you to salvation. Which road leads you to God and not mans views of God.
Religion its self can be any form that worship with or without a god.

They are all religions and have been around for along time. They all have a God(s) that they worship.
Websters Dictionary say religions is: "a belief in a controlling power outside oneself; a system of belief; an order of worship; an obsessive pursuit or cause." So a lot of things could be consider a "religion" maybe not an "organized religion", but a form of worship. Some peoples God maybe money, or sports, or recreation. Anything that someone obsess about could become their God or what they worship...their religion.

You know I'm sure there are some Christians out there that do think that those religions are "fake", whatever that means. However, I think the vast majority believe that those religions, especially Judaism, are "real". Now what most Christians believe is that there is only one way to get into heaven and their way isn't it. And how in the heck did you manage to draw Bush into this argument, its not like he's the Pope. You liberals really crack me up claiming to be the tolerant party and yet are so intolerant of all ideas that don't march in step with yours.

It seems a product of wishful thinking to think all relgions are correct. How can this be when they contain elements which are diametrically opposed to one another. I would suggest also that there are some true elements in allot of religion. I would also suggest Chrisitinaity is not alone in thinking they are the true faith. In fact many faiths believe the same thing. I would also suggest it os not a matter of intollerance. I have no problem accepting others have strong beliefs differing from my own.
Disagreement however does not = intolerance.
The little I in no way am suggestig biblcal creation be taugth in science class, however I definately think evolutionary theory should be alowed to be scrutinized on its own merit in science class. It is not in th same category as gravity or other proven sciences. And if in doubt I challenge you to read the book the Icons of evolution by biologist Jonathan Wells. This book was criticized by Eugenie Scott head of the NCSE who admitted thatthe scholarly work in it was technically correct. Or another great book by agnostic Michael Denton evolution a theory in crisis.

As a Christian and after reading the whole Bible, I believe that Judaism is a first religion and I have serious doubts about what the Apostle Paul did in establishing Pauline Christianity which abolished many of the laws and traditions of the Old Testament. As far as the other religions named, they all have elements of truth in them.

Many believers of all religions believe all other religions, except their's, as fake. It is also true that many believers, within one given religion, believe fellow believers who do not comform 100% with what THEY believe to be true, are misguided and wrong! You find all these two views in all religions against other religions and within one religion among the believers.
There are few, however, in all religions and within given religion, who believe in tolerance, reasoning and the relativity of "real" and "true" in religion.
Yet, experience has shown, almost in everybody, that faith is absolutly personal and therefore one cannot possibly find two people having 100% identical faith in anything. Even one individual person's faith is subject to change and flactuation depending on current circumstances. The net result is, how a faith of one person which keeps on changing and flactuating according to time and place can be the only truth and nothing but the truth, to the exclusion of all other individuals' faiths? By extension, how one religion, which comes alive only through its believers, can be claimed to be the only truth and nothing but the truth, to the exlusion of all other religions?
Our wourld would have been a better place to live if each one of us realise that one's belief is not a proof to descredit, let alone to deny the truthfulness and the validity of another's belief.

religion: a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
Since religion is a set of beliefs, how can one or another be "fake"? That wouldn't even make sense, logically.

At least those Christians who say Judaism, Islam and Hinduism are fake aren't calling it devil worship. Those of us who travel even less mainstream paths get that all the time.
I agree with you. And yet we wonder why we're falling so far behind the world in education when the fundamentalists actually want to teach the Christian creation myth in science class as fact.

some people simply cannot accept the fact that they aren't always right and that others don't give a rat's *** about their opinion. there's a girl on my dorm floor who's like that, and she has practically no firends on the floor because she's always trying to convert us, or preach to us.

Judiasm is a wonderful religion. It is the father of Christianity! It has to be wonderful! The Prince of Peace was Jewish, you know.
The other stuff is just silly cult worship. We have a book!
