I believe it delayed getting my wife's paperwork through and nearly meant she couldn't go back home in time to finalize our church wedding there. I think illegal immigration makes it much harder for those trying to come here legally.

Illegal alien criminals don't just hurt legal immigrants! They hurt all law-abiding citizens.
When the illegal alien criminals come they are breaking our laws, they tend to take jobs from citizens, lower wages, destroy the emergency rooms (they have to close), hurt English speaking kids in school since the teachers have to work more with the non-English speaking ones (hopefully so they can learn to spell things like "Immigration," they STEAL identities, it takes longer for the HONEST people that are doing things the right way, they don't pay taxes, they add to the problems with their anchor babies, they DEMAND services they don't deserve, they DEMAND their rights and they don't have any, etc.... I can continue.
BTW, they is no such thing as "Illegal Immigration." There is LEGAL immigration and illegal alien criminals. They are criminals because they are breaking the law.
These are not racist statements. They are statements of fact and if you are upset, I'm sorry. They are based on FACT.
Am I pissed? YOU BET. I'm sick of paying for over 20 million people that are here when they shouldn't be.

To me one of the biggest things is why bother going through things the right way if law breaking wins? I'm a citizen and never had to go through the trials of going about things to legally immigrate here but I am a law abiding citizen who goes through all the red tape for everything else and it seems it doesn't matter, when they are getting it all and not abiding by any law. Whether it be paying taxes, qualifying for loans, entering kids in school, waiting in line in the ER, applying for a job., getting a drivers license, .....what I have to do becomes stricter while they're screaming racism at every turn.
It has definately deminished what citizenship to this country means. We have masses DEMANDING rights in one breath and American hatred the next.
People are waiting patiently for years and getting no-where while others are here illegally benefiting from everything. There's people waiting for spouses and other family members while illegals have them all here. I'm afraid the ones who are waiting are going to find their applications denied because there's just too many illegals here for us to be able to absorb.

It does the same damage as is done to legal US citizens---it decreases the availability of jobs, decreasing wages, and has a negative effect on our economy.
PLEASE HELP US TO SAVE OUR COUNTRY:
Please go to this site and register and then go to "send faxes". There are numerous faxes that you can send very easily to your representatives, Nancy Pelosi, the White House, etc. regarding all of the illegal issues--including that of the two border patrol agents.
Once you register, it automatically fills in all of your personal info into a form letter/fax. You just click your mouse and it sends the fax.

It puts heavier tax burdens on them just as it does on natural born citizens. It slows down the process of getting legal processes done by adding burden to the INS work load. If I was a legal immigrant I would also be bitter because I was treated unfairly being made to go through the costly and time consuming process of becoming a naturalized citizen while others just walk right in.

Nothing, its just USA fear and selfishness on illegals (which I think is not the case), I think its because there Latino and they come in big numbers legally and illegally. Being Latino is not a skin color its ethnic group and if a white person has a kid with a Latina the baby is consider Latino and that why I personally think they are scared and also because they don't think there humans like them (Hello, their born in the western part of this world).

They drive up the cost of legal immigration. Recent news reports are saying that the government must offset the cost of illegals by raising legal applicant costs from ~$400 to ~$600.

It makes it much slower for them to get approved because so many are jumping in line. Then, legal immigrants are impacted the same way we are, with overcrowded, failing schools taught by teachers on emergency certificates and year round schedules, and with closing emergency rooms, drained services and higher taxes.

The damage to legal immigrants is chiefly that it casts suspicion on them. The major problem with illegal immigration is that it is creating a subclass that recieves far too much unwarranted anger. Illegals come to the U.S. for jobs. They are not coming for fantasy jobs either. They are coming on the promise of work for, what to them, is good pay. The real villains are those that offer work and offer pay and those that facilitate the bordr crossings.

There are at least 2 affects that it has the first is that it lessens their legal immigration status but it also causes people to wonder if they are here legally.
