It can be normal. It's winter, and depending on where you live, perhaps he's not happy with having his hiney exposed to cooler air. Do you notice the same reaction whenever you change his clothes?
Also, be sure you have the right sized diaper. If you still have him in size 0 or 1 because he isn't at the maximum weight they suggest on the diaper, take a look at how they fit him. Are they too snug around his legs? Ignore what the diaper label says about suggested weight for that size and go with what looks comfortable for your baby. If the diapers are pinching his tender legs, that could be what's making him cry during changes.
Good luck!

My second son is 14 weeks old now, but he cried and still does when his nappies (diapers) are changed.
With my son I think it is just that he is being disturbed when i change his mnappy and prefers to chill out. He does cease to cry once his clean nappy is back on.
He loves being in the shower with me or in his baby bath, but then cries when taken out and dried off.
If you think that there may be any discomfort to your baby then do not hesitate to contact a medical professional for some free advice. Just call your local health clinic to express your concerns and if there seems to be an issue they should ask to see your baby.

YES! Several things could be happening. He could feel so strange becuz he's used to being all tight and snug as a bug in a run in the womb, then clothes and diapers. It's a little shocking for them. You could also have cold hands, or the room not being warm enough or if your using a creme on him, it could be cold. I found that my daughter would scream too, so I invested in a wipe warmer! It was wonderful! Wipes can get sooo cold and just imagine being naked and then using a cold one on yourself. Not fun try warming it up, Try too not undressing him all the way, just enough to get the diper on and off. Congrats to you

Yes. Some babies just don't like to be changed. Maybe the wipes are too cold try warming them up a bit before putting them on his/her bottom.

Yes, it's very normal. Babies don't like to get unwraped and have their clothes off. After a time, baby will get used to it and not cry anymore. Just talk to him or sing to him when you change him to comfort him.
