Take a section at the front of your hair and backcomb it! Back combing provides a cushion that will give you extra height! Spray with an aerosol hairspray and you are good to go! Note when you backcomb your creating a messy effect gently comb the hair (with care of the backcombed hair to smooth out the effect)! Its easier to do then it is to explain!

If you're talking about the ponytail bump, you may need help from a friend. I tried everything and what works for me is to make the ponytail and hold it with my left hand. then my husband holds the sides flat, and I stick my right index finger under the bump section (knuckle side up) and just kind of pull it up to where I need it. Spray it a bit and put the elastic on before the other person lets go. spray it a little more and use shine spray. It usually stays in well. hope it helps!
Yup, that's the recipe for that bump.

i wear my hair like this a lot. my husband says i am channeling Gwen Stefani! i am assuming you want to wear the rest of your hair down, right? just pull the front section back and then gently push it forward, then use bobby pins. it took me a little while to get it right but i finally figured it out. put one pin on one side and the another on the other side but cross the original pin. so basically, your pins will make an X.

it also looks cute if you do the same thing but part your hair on the side. part your hair, and do the bump where its off centered a little. it will make your hair on the bump side look layered and full. really cute.

Gather the front section and pull it straight back, then, holding it, gently push it back up a little. Secure at the top of your head with pins.
