i have used it for the last 3 years and everything worked great. i used the intuit.com website and they do charge but it is less than if you go to someone like hr block, it asks you all different kinds of questions to make sure you don't miss anything. you can also have them deposit your money directly into your account and you get it usually within 10 business days. i think you can only use the irs.gov website if you can do the 1040ez not if you have any kind of deductions. good luck hope uncle Sam gives you lots of money back!!!

Yes, when you log on through www.irs.gov, and follow the links, you will be switched to a "secure" site. You can confirm this by the http, their will be a 's' at the end, it should look like this; https, that is how you know it is secure.
