the Spirit is already working in your life. the best way is to read your Bible and talk to other believers. Do you belong to a church and youth group? Your pastor should be able to give you the direction you need. And don't doubt your salvation. if you believe and asked Him to be Lord of your life then you are saved.

Trusting Him for everything can be hard, but He cares about every aspect of our lives. When you pray, give this area to Him. He understands. You can just talk to Him. The Spirit within you will direct you. I can't explain it, but you will know. Everytime you pray, just tell Him you don't know how to trust HIm. He will work in your life if you give Him permission.

Trusting Jesus is a process that has just begun for you, and it could take a while for that process to be complete.

In the mean time, get fully involved with the work, worship, and sacraments of your church, pray, and study ... all of which should help you to come to truly know God.

Once you truly know him, you'll be able to appreciate his love for you, and once you can do that, trust will become easier.

Once you know God and trust him, you can also return his love, which, other than mere salvation, is the whole point.

You should definitely get baptized with water, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, too, as that is the "norm" for admission into the family of God, and his church. You don't want to take any chances with your salvation.

And don't forget to take a close look at Catholicism, which is the original full Gospel church, which enjoys God's complete revelation, seven valid, grace-giving sacraments, practical and perfect worship, and the real presence of Jesus himself.

It's a lot easier to personally know, trust, and love God when you can receive him "in the flesh" as often as twice a day, and worship him "face to face" all day and every day, if you so chose ... and Catholics alone enjoy that unique and very special privilege.

Daniel, That is an excellent question! You will learn from time that will pass to trust Jesus. You didn't just be come a beleiver overnight it took time. Right? Well it takes time to trust Jesus. Just as it does to accept that he is your friend. Over time you build a relationship with him and you will soon learn that he is on your side. Just like a good friend it takes time to build that trust and to accept that he is right. If you like to read I would suggest checking out a book that is very good at explaining your life and your purpose with God and Jesus. The book is called "The Purpose Driven Life" Below is a link to a copy that is being auctioned off on Ebay. I would highly suggest it. This book is also available on compact disc like the one in the second link.

We all doubt our salvation at one time or another. Especially if we are not familiar with the Bible passages about salvation. Also there are times that we feel unworthy of salvation because we don't have to work for it. God acceptes us just the way we are because he loves us unconditionally. I suggest that you look up a few of these passages that I am going to list for you and meditata on them.
We are saved by grace, not by works, so that no one can boast.
We are saved by grace alone. Recall that in Acts 16:31 the jailer asked Paul and Silas how to be saved. They responded, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved." The jailer believed and immediately became saved.
Close to 200 times in the New Testament salvation is said to be by faith alone - with no works in sight. Consider the following:
John 3:15 tells us that "everyone who believes in him may have eternal life."
John 5:24 says, "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my words and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life."
In John 11:25 Jesus says, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies."
John 23:46 says, "I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness."
John 20:31 says, "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."
If salvation were not by faith alone, then Jesus' message in the Gospel of John - manifest in the above quotations - would be deceptive, stating that there is one condition for salvation when there are allegedly two - faith and works.
I must emphasize that we are saved by faith for works. Works are not the condition of our salvation, but a consequence of it We are saved not by works, but by the kind of faith that produces works.

Eph 2:8-10 God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can't take credit for this: It is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
