do you have to mail back or e-file amended return?

You need to mail in an amended return form 1040X showing what was on the original return, the changes and what the differences are between the 2, If you are amending your State are you also amending the Federal? Usually if there is a change on one there is a change on both

Last time I had to file a 1040X, TT.com allows you to create the return based on the current filing year, then print the 1040x for mailing. No efiling available for amended returns.

depends on state, but most have forms for amending return. think you have to mail in rather than efile, at least that what irs requires
