How about
*an engraved pic frame that she can keep/take with her as she gets older...after the wedding put a pic of the 3 of them together in it....
*a pretty bracelet that is engraved with a pretty saying reflecting that love and family is a neverending circle...you may want to word that differently however! LOL
*Rather than a locket, you could do something that is the equivelant of the pendants made for mother's ...have a heart or circle pendant adorned with the 3 of your birthstones. (These are available in locket styles also...the cover has the stones on it.) Actually, you could also have the bracelet adorned w/the stones as well....but the necklace she would be able to wear as she grew whereas the bracelet may get to be too small....
*is she the flower girl? Don't put anything in her hair in the beginning, then during the ceremony, place a tiara on her head...you can have those engraved to say something like "our little princess"...she would hold onto that forever I'm sure!
*I bought my daughter a book of poetry that is full of poems written especially for daughters, they could each write a special message in it for her. I had done this as a birthday gift, but it would be good for this situation also.

I think a locket is a great idea, but maybe put it on a silk cord instead of a chain until she gets older. Its sturdier and less likely to break if she wants to wear it all the time.

When friends of mine got married, they too wanted to include their daughter in the wedding ceremony.
So during the exchanging of the rings, they gave her a ring as well, they had it engraved with a little saying ( I can't think of it) that all of their rings had. It was one of the most sweetest moments.

I'm not sure where to get them, but they make unity necklaces for exactly this situation. I think they even include a poem. Or you could try one of those new circle necklaces. The circle can symbolize your union as a family.

How about a small ring just like he gives you. He is also marrying the little girl.
